MEASURING GUIDE FOR SLIDING WARDROBE DOORS

A SIMPLE GUIDE TO MEASURING – ALL WE NEED IS THE HEIGHT AND WIDTH

COMPLETE TIME – 5 MIN

Measuring up for sliding wardrobe doors is simple.  Just measure the height and width of your wardrobe opening and we will do the rest. Our sliding wardrobe doors are designed to fit your space.  Don’t worry if your opening is not completely level or parallel, our sliding wardrobes can be adjusted to compensate for these conditions.

To ensure that the made to measure wardrobe sliding doors fit perfectly in your space, please follow these simple steps to measuring:

  1. Measuring Height

The top track system will accommodate up to 10mm in height difference.

Measure at least two spots – both ends of your wardrobe and put the measurements in MM to C & D fields, when ordering your doors at step #4

  1. Measuring Width

Measure in two spots of your wardrobe: top and bottom. Please ensure you measure (B) –  above any skirting board, if any,  and (A) – below any coving that may hinder wardrobe installation.

  1. Tracks Width Definition

Make sure you have enough depth space to accommodate the tracks

  • Framed & Frameless doors:

standard (double) track  – 82mm

triple track – 122mm

  • Slim framed doors:

standard (double track) – 55mm

triple track – 82mm

Summary

We only require the dimensions of your opening space and not your door sizes.

IMPORTANT – When measuring do not allow for the thickness of strike plates. We will automatically calculate the correct width of the aperture.

  1. Measure the width and height of your space.  Measure ceiling to floor heights – at least two spots. Check your measurements twice to ensure accuracy.
  2. We only require the dimensions of your opening space and not your door sizes.
  3. Door wheels can be also adjusted for up to 10mm in height, when installing, in case you misread the measurements.
  4. Our maximum height for our sliding wardrobes ranges is 2700mm. If your wardrobe space is taller than this, look at adding a matching header panel or use a floor batten.
  5. We will work out all your measurements for the tracking system and frames. These will supply to exact order size
  6. Maximum width for each wardrobe sliding door is 1200mm. Two doors will be a maximum width of 2400mm, three doors will be a maximum width of 3600 and a four door kit is 4800mm
  7. You may need to think about removing skirting boards and cornices before installing which will ensure a perfect fit.
  8. If you are installing on top of the  carpet it may be best to remove a section of a carpet and replace with a timber batten,OR to put batten on top of your carpet. Wooden white battens can be added to your order, cut to the same length at your wardrobe width size.  This will ensure a stable bottom track.
  9. Make sure to take off 16mm (batten height) from the opening size, in case you decide to use it but  buying it elsewhere.

Example:   2050mm is your smallest height measurement, less 16mm batten height – you order 2034mm

Your doors, including wheels and tracks will be produced to the exact size you provide us.

Otherwise, if you click – ADD FLOOR BATTEN on our website – you provide the entire opening size and we will adjust the height of your doors, considering the floor batten that we will supply.
